What is a login profile?

A login profile is a "template" used by a login authority. The login profile defines all the Tarantella-specific settings to use, for example the webtop content and the connection type, when someone logs in to Tarantella using that login authority. Each login authority determines the login profile using its own method.

Login profiles are defined using either a standard person object or a profile object. Profile objects, which have similar attributes to person objects, are stored within o=Tarantella System Objects in the organizational hierarchy. To ensure that the associated login authorities can find them, they may not be moved, renamed or deleted in Object Manager.
