Introducing SecurID authentication

  • Learn about SecurID authentication.

SecurID authentication allows users to log in to Tarantella using RSA SecurID®. RSA SecurID uses two-factor authentication: something you know (a PIN), and something you have (a tokencode, supplied by a separate "token" such as a PIN pad, standard card or software token). The user goes to a standard Tarantella login box and supplies their username and passcode, exactly as they would for any other product that uses RSA SecurID. (The passcode is a combination of the user's PIN and the tokencode.)

To use SecurID authentication, you must also have a Tarantella Security license key installed.

Note SecurID authentication does not support ambiguous users and so ambiguous login requests are denied.
